We are ensuring that our application provides a net gain for biodiversity in the area and all the green spaces will be accessible for existing residents to access and enjoy. The approach involves avoiding impacts to significant existing ecological features such as retaining elements of traditional orchard. New significant habitats will be created, including a native wildflower meadow and wildlife ponds integrated into the sustainable urban drainage systems. Aquatic habitat will provide an ecologically rich resource for local wildlife.
