Affordable housing is essential for young families during the current housing affordability crisis, particularly as many young people are unable to move out of their parents’ homes. In response, we are proposing that 30% of the new homes will be affordable. This will include at least 165 properties made up of affordable rent, intermediate rent, and shared ownership options, helping to ensure that existing residents are not priced out of Chattenden.
